The Slovene School Museum Library, established in 1898 as part of the Slovene School Museum, has preserved a large volume of original Slovene educational literature ranging from course books, legislation and curricula from various periods, to teacher newspapers and journals. It presently keeps more than 60,000 books, including all textbooks and curricula through centuries, many antiquarian educational books from the 18th and 19th centuries, and even a few incunabula from the 15th century, such as Rudimenta grammatices. The library with a reading room was renovated in 2004 and is since then a venue of lectures and discussions as well. Its collection is accessible on COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library.
